Tragedy came upon Plateau State today as the Chairman of the Senate Committee on Health, Senator Gyang Daytong (PDP),and the majority leader of the Plateau State house of Assembly Gyang Fulani were murdered by unknown gunmen today during a mass burial for scores of people killed yesterday by suspected Fulani herdsmen who attacked six villages of Barkin Ladi Local Government in Plateau State.

Confirming this killing of the Senator and House of Reps member is the Plateau State Commissioner for Information.
