The National Universities Commission on Wednesday June 4th, listed seven Nigerian private Universities for allegedly violating NUC's guideline's on school facilities and academic programmes, thus suspending their operational licenses.

On the list we have Madonna University, Lead City University, Obong University, Caritas University, Joseph Ayo Babalola University, Tansian University and Achievers University.

Confirming this development to news men,  Mallam Ibrahim Yakassai, The Director of Press and Public Relations of NUC said in a telephone conversation on Wednesday night that the suspension of the licenses of the affected schools was imperative in order to continually work on the current standard of Nigerian Universities.

This is not a permanent close down, as NUC says the suspension would be lifted as soon as the Unis meet up to the specific guidelines.
