Nigerian musician, Sunday Ekwe popularly known as SAMPLE EKWE or Stereoman, has been arrested by the police for allegedly killing his lover, Rukayat Idris.

Ekwe's common speech back then was "E No Reach", but now the matter don reach police case as he was arrested by homicide detectives attached to the State Criminal Investigation Department, Panti, Yaba, Lagos on May 9, 2012 following allegation that he strangled and killed Rukayat Idris in her Honda Civic car on April 13, 2012.

According to gist, the babe who was a mother of two, was found dead in her car, parked some where under a bridge close to Trade Fair Complex Bus Stop on the ever busy Mile2-Badagry Expressway around 8pm.

After close investigation, the police noticed that there was no gunshot wound and nothing looked missing/stolen from her. Marks where however found on her neck, indicating that she was strangled to death.

As the matter got out, the babe's family pointed accusing fingers towards Ekwe, considering the fact that they got separated before the incident, which was ended with constant quarrels and fight-fight.
