There was a sad story at Ambrose Ali University Ekpoma earlier today as seven female students fell into a well while fetching water.

This well is said to be located inside one of the hostels in the school premises. The gist has it that some of the girls were washing on top of the well, while the rest were sitting on it. Suddenly the well collapsed and seven of them fell into the well.

Rescue came from students around, and they saved 6 of the girls, one of them died inside the well. Another one died on the way to the hospital.

The rest of them are receiving treatment.
