News flying around Festac town in Lagos was that of two brothers, Toye and Tola who were found with a decomposing body yesterday at their apartment. This body was later identified to be Akunbuyi, a younger sibling of the two brothers who lived with them.
The decomposing body was found at duplex on B Close, House 6 of 3rd Avenue, a building left for them by their deceased parents.
The story goes this way, Toye Ajayi and Omotola Ajayi, killed their younger brother 39 year old Akinbuyi Ajayi, and kept his body in a room inside the flat.
As at the time the body was found, it had already been mutilated by the two brothers. A police source alleged that Toye and Omotola were selling the body parts of their brother for money, adding that the two were caught with some human parts which eventually led to a search on their apartment by law enforcement personnel.
The brothers were suspected to have chopped off the head, hands, private part and part of the two legs of Akinbuyi and allegedly sold them to suspected ritualists. The decomposing body of Akinbuyi was moved by the policemen attached to FESTAC Police Station led by the Divisional Police Officer, Mr. Mohammed Mu’azu, a Chief Superintendent of Police and officials of Amuwo Odofin Local Government council to a morgue, while the police took other items recovered from the house into custody.
Other things found in the apartment were charms and amulets concealed inside a carton with the inscription: Lord Krishna Agabarthi 999. Also, two large dummies of human bodies and a pot of blood was discovered.
The brothers denied any knowledge of the body, Omotola claimed to be an Engineer with no job yet and that his brother's killer must have planted the body in the room. Toye went on with a story about him being a Teacher at a primary school, but was not able to answer what subject he teaches.
