A PHCN high tension wire fell in Apata market in Ibadan yesterday, electrocuting seven people including a pregnant woman and a nursing mother.

Reports gathered says that traders were busy in their transaction at the vegetable section of the market when the wire suddenly fell on them.

A one-year-old boy was rescued from the incident. His mother was among the seven unfortunate victims. Some other traders sustained injuries and were rushed to the hospital for treatment.
